Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), US is recalling 154,000 Lexus SUVs manufactured in 2010, over the issue of 'unsecured or incompatible' floor mat leading to entrapment of the accelerator pedal.

According to the carmaker, the issue could lead to the trapping of gas pedal by the mats and cause the SUVs to speed up without warning.

Toyota said that affected Lexus models include approximately 131,800 RX 350 SUVs and 22,200 RX 450h SUVs and owners of the vehicles will receive a safety recall notification in early August 2012

According to the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Toyota has recalled over 14 million vehicles worldwide over throttle-related issues including floor mats and sticky gas pedals.
